Patsy Lou Collision Center Employee Matthew Keinath holds a customer's dog as she fills out paperwork. She had a hard time getting her dog back; after Matthew made a new friend, he did not want to give him up!

This picture is of Patsy Lou Buick GMC employee Stephanie Stull and her son Matthew. Matthew is 23 years old and has been in the United States Marine Corps for 5 years. His current rank is Corporal, however he will soon earn the rank of Sergeant. Corporal Stull's career has taken him all over the world, starting with the U.S.S. Truman for his first deployment. After that, he continued on to many fascinating locations, including Egpyt, Dubai, Greece, Afghanistan and Iraq. Stephanie says that his phone calls were few and far between, but every minute meant the world to her. He works mostly with fighter jets and jokes that he has hit his head quite a bit due to his height. His favorite fighter jet is the F-35, but what he likes most about his job is not flying the jets, as the noise has damaged his hearing. His favorite activity is loading everything up to send troops out for deployment, as this gives him a great sense of accomplishment. Let's give a big All American Corner thank you to Corporal Stull for his service to our country.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Be a part of established, locally owned and operated Full Service Automotive Center. As a mid-level Automotive Technician (Automotive Mechanic) you will quickly and efficiently perform routine maintenance and identify the cause of breakdowns and repair them using the most optimal solutions. The jobs are challenging and extensive training is available to those who are career focused. State-of-the-art equipment and career advancement, it's all here for an Automotive Technician.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with company and/or manufacturer's standards

• Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification

• Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs

• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers

• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.

• Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

As an Automotive Technician (Automotive Mechanic), you will be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver. We have determined some factors that may enable your success as an Automotive Technician:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an automotive technician (automotive mechanic)

• Hold a minimum of 3 Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications

• Hold a valid driver's license

• Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service

• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.)

Thank You Letter

As the daughter-in-law of Jack Wagner, I would like to thank the Williamsons for protecting and preserving the UAW Local 599 Union Hall.

Having been a union member for 28 years, I recognize the value of unions to workers, families and communities.

When the Trillium Theater opened the big screen and 3D movies, I suggested to the teacher I worked with that it would be lots of fun to take our 15 special needs students to see a movie there at Christmas time.

The theater gave us a nice deal, but it would still have been too expensive for some of our families. So I wrote a letter to Patsy Lou and asked her if she would help with a couple dollars for each student. She sent the whole amount for all kids and staff plus popcorn money.

Thanks again, Patsy Lou.
